This workshop will provide you with the basic fundamentals of hula hooping. This class is designed go over waist hooping 101, refine your waist hooping, and teach a few fun and basic off-body movements to help create your relationship with the hoop. This class will open with a nice warm up to get our blood flowing; allowing us to become comfortable with our bodies, space, and each other. You will explore the development of personal flow within your body and how you move with and without the hoop. Along with these fundamentals, you will learn simple transitions to help blend your new skills together. In the second half of this class you will learn simple and exciting choreography weaving the skills and transitions you have learned in the first half. Each beginner class session will learn different skills and choreography; so please attend all classes if you want to learn a variety of skills! No experience is necessary. Hoops provided.
Class time devoted to lecture: 5-10 minutes
